Have you ever thought about becoming dive instructor? The PADI Divemaster
program is the first step toward that goal.
There are 3 parts to this class:
• Knowledge Development
• Watermanship and Skills Development
• Internship / Practical Application
During your knowledge development sessions you will cover a large variety
of topics from; Supervising general diving activities, assisting with
student divers in training, dive theory introduction, diving physics,
diving physiology, dive equipment, decompression theory and the RDP,
Divemaster conducted programs, risk management, the business of diving
and your diving career.
In the swimming pool you will have the opportunity to
hone all of your diving skills. Skills such as mask clearing,
sharing air etc.. will need to be "demonstration quality".
There are also several watermanship tests that you will
need to pass to earn this certification.
The internship portion of this class is where you get
a chance to put your new skills to use. You will be assisting
students in a variety of situations from helping them with
skills in the swimming pool to conducting the tour portion
of an open water training dive. When your internship is
complete you will have completed the program and be welcomed
to the PADI family as a "PADI Professional!"
