SCUBA Lessons
Get your PADI Open Water Diver SCUBA Certification with the professionals at School of Fish on Long Island

Step One
Call us to enroll in a class. Your PADI eLearning course will be delivered to your eMail address. You complete the theory in a home study environment utilizing your phone, tablet or personal computer. This includes 8-12 hours of online reading materials, videos, and quizzes. Our instructors are at your disposal to answer any questions you have along the way

Step Two
Dive training in the pool! Once you’ve completed the eLearning program it’s time to put some of that knowledge to use while we teach you how to scuba dive in our 90F, heated, salt water swimming pool. Two three hour pool training dives (more if needed). Just bring a bathing suit, a towel, and a desire to learn! Class size is kept to a maximum of six students.

Step Three
Now that you’ve completed your theory and pool training you are ready for a more challenging environment in the Long Island Sound. You will be making four dives with your instructors to put the skills you learned in the pool to the test. These dives can be completed locally but you also have the option to complete them on vacation at a destination of your choice.

After completing your pool training, you can sign up for Open Water Training, which runs from June through October on most Fridays and Saturdays, with private Sunday training dives available for an additional fee.
